A gas membrane is a specialized barrier designed to prevent the ingress of harmful ground gases like Radon, Methane, and Carbon Dioxide, as well as moisture. These are thicker and more strictly tested than standard Damp Proof Membranes (DPM). In many UK developments on brownfield sites, gas protection is a legal requirement. MPS installs gas membranes that often double as the waterproofing layer, verified to BS 8485 standards.
