Waterproofing Structural Integrity Protection

How long does structural waterproofing last?

Question

How long does structural waterproofing last?

Expert Answer
The lifespan of waterproofing depends on the system. Cementitious tanking and waterproof concrete can last the lifetime of the structure if not subjected to movement cracking. Cavity drain membranes (HDPE) also last decades but the mechanical pumps require servicing every 6-12 months. Resin injections are permanent. MPS provides long-term warranties (often 10 years) on our waterproofing installations, backed by our manufacturer partnerships.
